Step by step ooh girl

Ok- I wasn't a NKOTB fan but I wanted to think of a catchy phrase... Work continues to go on at the house. The trim is coming along really well. It is very cool. Check the picasa website photo albums to see pictures of the beams going in the great room and dining room.

They have begun work on the tile now too! There is so much tile dust. We were there for 10 minutes and I think I inhaled enough tile dust that dinner tasted like "Ridgeview Palmero"...

We will also make our final decisions on the stone water table this week. That way, this can be installed over the next couple of weeks.

We are meeting with the landscape architect tomorrow to review the initial Master Plan. I am crossing my fingers that this comes in under our budget!

We are also working on the electrical fixtures. Luckily we have another contact that Jillian has hooked us up with looking for the best of the deals. It is amazing how many different types of light fixtures that one has to decide on: Lantern, sconce, chandelier, foot light, pendant, pin light, overhead flush mount...

What is a stone water table?

Betsy- we will be getting the north bedroom ready for guests since it is the biggest of the secondary rooms. While you make pick a room, this room will have the new queen bed in it (thus more comfortable than the old mattress or the futon.) The contingency is that if we are not yet unpacked, you have to sleep on boxes : )

C-Dawg- The water table is the base of the house. I don't know why they call it a water table. It basically will be stone surrounding the exposed cement surrounding the house continuing up the chimney. Not what it sounds like, eh?
